Air Filtration Tips For Industrial Businesses

The air quality in an industrial business building can be hazardously low. Unfortunately, many industrial enterprises will not have effective air filtration policies and procedures in place for keeping the air quality as high as possible. Often, this is a result of failing to be sufficiently informed about this threat or the steps that can combat it.

Can Residential Air Filtration Systems Be Used In Industrial Settings?

Business leaders may assume that their enterprise will be able to utilize a residential air filtration system to achieve adequate results. While residential air filtration systems may be much more affordable than industrial quality systems, they will simply be unable to effectively meet the needs of these businesses. This can be due to both the larger size of these buildings as well as the types of impurities and contaminants that can be in the air.

What Happens If You Keep The Same Air Filters For Too Long?

The air filters will be key components of any filtration system as the filters will be responsible for capturing the small particles that are in the air. While these filters can be extremely effective, they may not work as designed if they are allowed to become extremely dirty. In fact, they may even make the air quality worse by allowing some of these particles to escape. In order to make sure that the business's air filtration system is working as efficiently as possible, business owners will need to arrange for their filters to be checked and changed each month. Some of these filters may indicate that they can be used for many months. However, changing them every few weeks can help to avoid situations where the filters become unexpectedly full.

Does It Matter Where You Store Your Replacement Air Filters?

To make it as easy as possible to change these filters, businesses will often make it a point to keep several of these filters in storage. This can make it very easy to swap out full or otherwise compromised air filters. However, if the replacement filters are not properly stored, they can suffer severe degradation before you are able to use them. In order to keep the filters free from this type of storage-related damage, they will need to be kept where they are not at risk of becoming bent, warped or exposed to large amounts of moisture. Additionally, it is best to keep these filters individually wrapped or covered to stop dust from gathering on them.
