Whether you are the owner of an auto body shop that does car painting or you have a factory and painting is part of your production process, having an industrial spray booth inside of your building is a must. These structures are created specifically to prevent paint from floating all over the building when it is used, and there really are a lot of different versions out there to pick from. If you want to make sure you get the best industrial spray booth, there is a short list of attributes you should be looking for.
The spray booth should have adequate lighting.
The inside of the spray booth will naturally be blocked off from the rest of the light in your building, and light is obviously an extremely important thing when you are applying paint to an object. Therefore, it is extremely important to make sure the industrial spray booth you choose has good lighting fixtures and a good lighting setup inside. You should see a series of lights across the top of the unit, and possibly some at the sides of the booth as well. Something like T-8 or high bay fixtures offer even better light distribution.
The spray booth should have a series of windows.
Having windows in the spray booth may seem moot since the structure is going to be set up inside of a building, but windows are actually a really important thing for safety reasons. If something happens in the booth and there are no windows, outsiders in the building may never notice that anything at all is wrong. Windows will give whoever is in the booth a view out while they work, but most importantly, they will give others a view inside the unit. Some units will have a series of windows on all sides, and others will only have a row of windows on one side.
The spray booth has an excellent air ventilation system.
High-quality air intake systems, nice exhaust fans, and multiple-port ventilation are all examples of features you can expect to see if you want a good ventilation system in your painting booth, and you most assuredly do. The ventilation system is what will make it possible for someone to actually do painting in the small space, but it will also work hard to keep your building protected from fumes and paints as someone is inside the booth spraying an object.
